Live-Action/Animated Film: Pete’s Dragon
Pete’s
Dragon was released in 1977. This Disney
film combined the magic of animation with live-action. Where else can you find a young orphan with a
20 foot tall dragon as a best friend?
Oh, and I forgot to mention – he can also become invisible at a moment’s
notice. This is often an overlooked
film, which is too bad; there are amazing songs and some great acting. Helen Reddy does a fantastic job as Nora,
especially when singing “Candle on the Water.”
I am always delighted to see Elliot and Pete
in the Main Street Electrical Parade. It
is definitely my favorite part!
This
film is absolutely charming and a true classic!
If you have never seen
this film before, then I encourage you to watch it. As a matter of fact, I think I will watch Pete’s
Dragon on this brazzle dazzle day!
I definitely watched Pete's Dragon yesterday, in case anyone was wondering. Gosh, I love that movie!
